Being a Republican just seems like such a fucked-up proposition when you look at the social psychosis that comes with it. That list near the end, reminded me exactly of the article you posted a month ago from The Daily.
1) Collaboration: With only one author, you close off opportunities to expand on ideas and perspectives. With multiple authors, you open the door to for more content, conversation, points of view, and creativity. The more contributors, the better.
2) Conversation: Everyone deserves a platform to intelligently discuss issues and ideas and engage in thoughtful, informative conversation. Oh yeah, and links to the newest, hilarious video clip. This is that platform.
3) Challenge: Life without challenge, especially mental challenge, is empty. Take the time to read ideas from important thinkers, investigate opposing or alternative rationale, and send your brain to the 'gym'. Just because school's out doesn't mean we have to stop challenging our brains.
